Pegg In Comedy Heist Thriller

Star Trek Beyond‘s Simon Pegg will be starring along with J.K. Simmons in Mark Palansky‘s My Only Sunshine.
In My Only Sunshine, “a dysfunctional couple stage[s] a bank robbery as an unconventional act of marriage counseling. They try to make peace with the shocking mystery of their relationship throughout a violent hostage situation that is discovered by a police hostage negotiator who previously investigated a related crime.”
Directed by Palansky, My Only Sunshine was written by J.T. and K. Reed Petty. It will be produced by Matt Smith, Lawrence Mattis, and Michael Mendelsohn; and executive produced by J.T. Petty, Natalie Perrotta, and Jim Steel.
“[We have] such a gifted director and a cast of talented actors to lead this creative endeavor,” said financier and producer Mendelsohn. “This original, riveting, and hilarious storyline will captivate audiences.”
My Only Sunshine is expected to begin production this fall.
