IDW Publishing December Star Trek Comics

There will be three IDW Publishing Star Trek comics published in December 2019. The comics include Star Trek: Picard – Countdown #2, Star Trek: The Motion Picture Facsimile Edition, and Star Trek: Year Five #9.

In Star Trek: Picard – Countdown #2, “As the situation on the Romulan colony continues to unravel, Picard finds himself faced with a difficult choice that will affect millions. The official countdown to the Star Trek: Picard series on CBS All Access continues here!”

Written by Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson, and featuring a cover by Sara Pitre-Durocher, Star Trek: Picard – Countdown #2 will be thirty-six pages in length and will cost $4.99.

Next up is Star Trek: The Motion Picture Facsimile Edition. In this comic, “An alien presence of enormous power enters Federation space, destroying three powerful Klingon cruisers and neutralizing everything in its path. As it heads toward Earth, Admiral James T. Kirk returns to the helm of an upgraded U.S.S. Enterprise and sets course to meet the aggressor head-on. This spectacular adaptation, featuring work by industry legends Marv Wolfman [writer], Dave Cockrum [artist], and Klaus Janson [artist], boldly re-presented in its original form!”

Bob Larkin will create the cover for Star Trek: The Motion Picture Facsimile Edition. The issue will be sixty-four pages long and will cost $5.99.

Finally, Star Trek: Year Five #9 will also appear in December. In this issue, “After their close call with the Tholian Assembly, the crew of the Enterprise escorts Ayal back to their home planet, only to find a society teetering on the brink of catastrophe. The final voyages of the original five-year mission continue here!”

Written by Jim McCann, Year Five #9 features art by Angel Hernandez, and covers by Stephen Thompson and J.J. Lendl.

The thirty-two page issue will cost $3.99.
