Clarke Joins Trek 2

1 min read

British actor Noel Clarke, known to Doctor Who fans for his role as Mickey Smith on the BBC series, has been signed for Star Trek 2.

Clarke will be portraying a “family man with a wife and young daughter,” and is the third newcomer to be signed for the sequel, the other two being Alice Eve and Peter Weller.

In 2009, Clarke received a BAFTA award in the Orange Rising Star Award. Another Trek actor (Chris Hemsworth) is currently nominated for the same award (the list of eight in which he is included will be cut to five next week) and Star Trek: NemesisTom Hardy won a BAFTA award as Orange Wednesdays Rising Star last year.

  1. Well, that’s horrible news. This guy can’t act his way out of a paper bag… at least not from what I saw of him on DW. Irritating, to say the least.
