Cumberbatch To Join Slave Documentary Movie

Star Trek 2′s Benedict Cumberbatch will be joining the cast of 12 Years a Slave.
Directed by Steve McQueen, 12 Years a Slave is based on an 1853 non-fiction book by Solomon Northrup.
12 Years a Slave is the story of Northrup, a free black man who was kidnapped and sold into slavery, ending up on a Louisiana plantation.
Cumberbatch will play the plantation owner who buys the slave, and who is “won over by his engineering skills.”
Others set to appear in 12 Years a Slave include: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt.
12 years a Slave is expected to be released next year.
