Stewart Joins Daily Show Strike

The NFL referee strike was not the only strike gathering attention on television last night.

Correspondents from The Daily Show “went on strike” too, and actors were “brought on board to take the place of seasoned regulars like John Oliver.”

One of those actors was Sir Patrick Stewart, who took on the title of “Senior Replacement Correspondent” John Oliver. Oliver’s title on the show is “Senior British Correspondent.”

“Actually, I love this job,” said Stewart of his new gig as replacement correspondent. “It seems incredibly easy! So how much does it pay?”
