Trek Actors To Voice Miles From Tomorrowland Characters
1 min readTwo Star Trek actors will be amongst the actors voicing characters from Disney Junior‘s new science-based adventure cartoon series.
The Trek actors are George Takei and Wil Wheaton.
“The half-hour toon incorporates science facts, with the help of consultants from NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, among other experts, into the journey of young adventurer Miles Callisto and his family as they travel the galaxy via the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, an obvious nod to Disneyland.”
Miles Callisto will be voiced by Cullen McCarthy. Other main characters include Miles’ mother Phoebe Callisto (Olivia Munn), father Leo Callisto (Tom Kenny), sister Loretta Callisto (Fiona Bishop).
Takei and Wheaton will have recurring guest roles, along with Adrian Grenier, Mark Hamill, Bill Nye, Alton Brown, and Brenda Song.
Miles from Tomorrowland will premiere February 6 on Disney Junior.
I’m more excited about Mark Hamill…and I’m a huge Trek fan. Sorry, but Takei and Wheaton are more annoying to me these days than anything else.
Especially Takei
This is a great animated show! It’s fun to learn about space when watching two kids and their parents “live” an exciting life among the stars. George Takei has a unique speaking voice and I’m glad Disney asked him to be part of the cast. This is one of my favorite shows, my five year old grand daughter loves it too!
