Fans wishing to pick up an authentic Trek prop or costume will have the opportunity courtesy of the latest Propworx Official Star Trek Prop and Costume Auction IV.

The auction will take place online February 21 at 12 PM PST.

The Star Trek Auction IV will feature one hundred lots of “props, costumes, models, artwork and production materials” in this first of three Star Trek auctions for 2015. The items come from the collections of VFX Supervisor Gary Hutzel, Propmaster Joe Longo, and VFX Supervisor Ronald D. Moore.

Some of the items included in this auction are: “an exceptionally rare screen-used fiberglass phaser pistol” from the original series Assignment: Earth (Lot 01), starship filming miniatures including the Greg Jein-built Klingon D-7 model from Deep Space Nine: Trial and Tribbleations (Lot 4), costume items from every major cast member since the days of The Next Generation (including a Seven of Nine catsuit in Lot 47), a TNG medical tricorder (Lot 56), Klingon knives (Lots 69-72), phasers, tribbles (Lot 81), and more.

The rare phaser pistol is expected to sell for between $40,000-$60,000.

  1. Assignment:Earth phaser. That’s cool but I want the Assignment:Earth Gary Seven servo. I saw and took pictures of what evidently is the original prop, or what’s left of it. It was at the Las Vegas Trek experience before that closed down. It appears someone along the years tried to make it into a real pen and the bottom portion had been crudely and badly replaced with a pen point. It also seems the original antennae had been replaced. It was like the Nomad probe — a hardly recognizable version of itself. Would be great if someone would make a screen authentic version of the original. I’ve seen, and own, some bad fan made reproductions. The dials are always too big and pronounced and it’s usually questionable workmanship. Seems like in this day and age someone would make a cool copy, that actually does something. Is a pen, or laser pointer, makes sounds ….something! Still waiting.
