The USS Enterprise Building

A Chinese building was built to resemble the USS Enterprise.
The building was even officially licensed by CBS.
It should come as no surprise that Liu DeJian, Chairman of NetDragon Websoft, the company which is headquartered in the building, is an “uber-Trekkie.”
Construction on the building began in 2008, and was completed in 2014, at a cost of $160 million.
Plug in “Fuzhou, Fujian, China International Airport” into Google Maps, and use the Earth feature to see it for yourself. The Enterprise building is to the northeast of the airport, and just north of Heshanghe and Dahe Provincial Forest Park.

Whenever I think my Trek obsession has maybe gone a little too far, another Star Trek fan comes along who’s much further out, to make me feel better. 🙂
Searching in Google maps on “Fuzhou, Fujian, Dahe provincial forest park” gets you much closer.
Shame the boss is a Voyager fan… No, actually, that is still pretty amazing and cool.
