Chris Pine is in negotiations for a role in Warner Bros. Wonder Woman movie.

Wonder Woman is due to be released in June of 2017.

Pine would play Steve Trevor, Diana Prince’s love interest. Prince (Wonder Woman) is being played by Gal Gadot.

Originally, Scott Eastwood was in the running for the part, but signed on for a guaranteed supporting part in Suicide Squad instead.

In the Wonder Woman comics, Trevor “was an intelligence officer in the United States Army during World War II whose plane crashed on Paradise Island, the isolated homeland of the Amazons. He was nursed back to health by the Amazon princess Diana, who fell in love with him and followed him when he returned to the outside world. There she became Wonder Woman (and also his co-worker, Diana Prince).”

Wonder Woman is written by Jason Fuchs, and will be directed by Patty Jenkins.

  1. Well! That actually sounds like an able movie! I’ll actually look forward to it… until they bring Wonder Woman into the 21st century and make her join “The Avengers”…

  2. I think Pine is probably a better choice than young Eastwood. He has a lot more experience.

  3. The Justice League, which will happen concurrently with the Superman/Batman movie and the wider DCCU (DC Cinematic Universe, like MCU) is where she’ll be.

  4. …not these days… let’s just mix and match characters and call it a re-imagined reboot because the film industry just has no clue how to write anything original. Heck, even in Abram’s “Star Trek”, he had a floating “R2-D2” as a site gag in the one scene.

  5. The Millennium Falcon was in FC in the battle of 001 due to ILM having a joke!
