Pine’s Z For Zachariah Opens This Summer

Later this summer, Chris Pine‘s fans will be able to see the actor in Z for Zachariah, a post-apocalyptic drama.
Pine will be co-starring in the movie with Chiwetel Ejjiofor and Margot Robbie.
“In the wake of a nuclear war, a young woman (Robbie) survives on her own, fearing she may actually be the proverbial last woman on earth, until she discovers the most astonishing sight of her life: another human being. A distraught scientist (Ejiofor), he’s nearly been driven mad by radiation exposure and his desperate search for others. A fragile, imperative strand of trust connects them. But when a stranger (Pine) enters the valley, their precarious bond begins to unravel.”
Z for Zachariah will be released on August 21.

Sounds dumb and rather boring.
I enjoyed the book when I was a kid, but I’m not sure the story has enough action for modern audiences. I guess we’ll see.
