Quinto: I Miss Him
1 min readOn Saturday, it will have been a year since the passing of Leonard Nimoy, and Zachary Quinto, who became close to the actor, still misses him.
“I’ve never met somebody actually who so fully embodied a sense of fulfillment in their life,” said Quinto. “I really haven’t. He was such a tremendous artist and philanthropist and generous person and so intelligent. I miss him all the time. I really miss him so much at this point, obviously, marking the anniversary of his passing.
“He was one of the greatest gifts that my career has brought into my personal life, for sure.”
Quinto is still in touch with Nimoy’s family. Nimoy’s widow Susan came to see him recently in his off-Broadway play Smokefall. “She came from L.A. to be there with us,” said Quinto. “She’s as much a part of my life as he was. I feel really lucky to have known them on so many levels, for sure.”
“It was an honor and a privilege to know him and to call him a friend,” said Quinto. “Leonard’s love for the human spirit shone through everything he did. He touched lives around the world and he is greatly missed.”
