An ad for Star Trek Beyond released in Korea show footage of civilians from a Swarm attack on Starbase Yorktown, and among those running from the attack are Hikaru Sulu’s partner and daughter.
In a cameo appearance, Sulu’s partner is played by none other than director Justin Lin.
The scene can be seen at the twelve second mark of the clip.
