Saldana: Work/Home Life Balance Is Tough!

Star Trek Beyond‘s Zöe Saldana is finding, as many women do, that it’s difficult to find the right work/home life balance.
The mother of three young sons, Saldana’s career has taken off at the same time she is raising her children. “My career and the kids really all happened together at the same time,” she said. “You can’t expect your career to be super high all the time, and you can’t say no when opportunities like this come along…But I find myself really looking forward to downtime.”
While she wants to be there for her children, Saldana is an actress, and acting comes with its own challenges. “The life of an actor is always a mix,” she said. “There’s a fear of missing out, a certain level of anxiety and a desire to create. I like to be artistic in everything I do.”
Saldana is currently filming Avengers: Infinity War.
