Shatner: No New Trek But I’ve Done An Album
2 min readWilliam Shatner said “no” to the idea of a new Trek series in which he would star. Plus – Shatner’s new Christmas album to debut this autumn.
“Right now I’m happy doing what I’m doing,” said Shatner. “I’ve been offered many series over the years. But I haven’t done them because of the commitment of time. And at this stage of my life that’s more valuable than anything else.”
Even though Shatner won’t star in a series, he didn’t shoot down the possibility of a guest star role; even though it seems that the chances are pretty low of this happening. “It will have to pass through enormous hurdles including permission from Paramount,” said Shatner; “and then they’ll have to get back to me and see where things are at.”
Some of his work these days includes singing, and Shatner has announced a new Christmas album, Shatner Claus: The Christmas Album, which will be released on October 26.
“You can pre-order my Christmas Album [here],” said Shatner, via his Twitter account. “It’s also available on vinyl!”
