Rumor Mill: Has Star Trek 4 Been Resurrected?

In some unexpected news, Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion) has been selected to both write and direct the next Abrams-verse Star Trek movie.
Hawley would produce the film via 26 Keys. J.J. Abrams would also produce via Bad Robot.
According to the article, first posted on Deadline Hollywood, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban and Zoe Saldana are expected to return.
Variety also claims that the plot for this film is different than the one turned down by Chris Hemsworth, who would have returned as the father of James T. Kirk.
