Takei Joins Voice Cast For Animated Series

The original series’ George Takei has joined the voice cast of the animated series Love Monster.
Takei will voice Elder Panda in the series aimed at preschoolers. He joins Tamsin Greig, Javone Prince, Sarah Hadland, Lewis Macleod, Freya Parker, Emma Maclennan, and Darren Foreman.
Love Monster is about the “adventures of hairy hero, Love Monster, as he navigates the challenges of being the only monster in Fluffytown – a world of cute baby animals. With a lot of help from his friends, Love Monster learns to follow his heart rather than his slightly ‘over-thinky’ head, as he searches for the right thing to do. The series is based on the books by Rachel Bright.
The new animated series will be a fifty-four part series, and will begin airing in the U.K. in January 2020. The show is produced by the BBC’s CBeebies, Boat Rocker Studios, and China’s UYoung.
