  • The Des Moines Register has an obituary for Thomas Mulgrew, father of Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway). Our condolences go out to Mr. Mulgrew's surviving wife, six children, fifteen grandchildren and great-grandson.

  • Noble Willingham, who played Texas in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode: "The Royale" and appeared in over 100 films and TV shows, has died as well. The Miami Herald has the Associated Press obituary.

  • Music from the Movies has a review of The Brothers Karamazov recording from the production starring William Shatner (Captain Kirk).

  • The Toque joked that Canada will soon put Shatner and Leonard Nimoy on its legal currency, coins and bills.

  • Shock jock Howard Stern joked with his staff this morning that he should dress in a Star Trek uniform to interview Kathie Lee Gifford on ABC. "I'd have to be an admiral. I can't be some little Yeoman," he said. Thanks to Anthony Laviano.

  • Former Star Trek: Voyager writer Bryan Fuller discussed his new series Wonderfalls with Sci Fi Wire.

  • The Digital Bits reports that director Nicholas Meyer will autograph copies of the Star Trek VI: The Voyage Home special edition DVD at a Borders near Los Angeles on January 27th and at a Borders in San Francisco on January 31st.

  • TrekNews.de has uploaded an image gallery for "Proving Ground."

  • Starfleetcom.net has posted a synopsis and review of "Chosen Realm."
