J.G. Hertzler and Andrew Probert have signed on for Star Trek: Phase II.
As reported by Star Trek: Phase II, Hertzler, familiar to Star Trek fans for his work on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as General Martok, has been cast at the role of former tutor K'Sia for the Star Trek: Phase II: Kitumba episode. Kitumba will look at the Klingon Empire during the original series timeframe. Kitumba will begin filming in June.
Hertzler was supposed to have appeared as Harry Mudd in the The Sky Above, The Mudd Below episode of Star Trek: Phase II, but that episode has "been put on the back-burner for now," according to Phase II Senior Executive Producer James Cawley.
Andrew Probert will also be joining Phase II, where he will be designing a Klingon Fighter craft for Kitumba. Some versions of this can be seen at his website located here. Probert will also be joining another Cawley project, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Details of the Buck Rogers project were described in the Trektoday news article located here.
