Star Trek XI Rock Band Contests
2 min readThree different competitions and sweepstakes are being offered by Rock Band and Paramount; including a sweepstakes, an online “band battle,” and an avatar design contest, with Star Trek XI and Rock Band-related prizes for the winners.
As reported by Rock Band, starting today, fans can enter a sweepstakes to win Rock Band Music Store downloads for the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Store for PlayStation3. Five hundred free downloads will be offered daily from April 7 through April 15.
A contest with a prize sure to please Star Trek fans will begin on March 20 and run through the 27th. Rock Band 2 game owners will want to try their hand against the Rock Band galaxy. Bands of three to four players will battle the Rock Band galaxy online in the Star Trek Ultimate Battle. The band with the highest score will win a Star Trek XI hometown movie screening for their band and their friends. Twenty other randomly selected players will win a Star Trek/Rock Bank prize pack with Star Trek and Rock Band gear.
Starting April 27, creative types can try their hand at making an avatar. Fans will create a futuristic avatar in-game and export it to RockBand.com for the Rock Band community and Harmonix team to judge the winner, who will be chosen on May 11. The winner of the avatar contest will collect “The Future is Now” prize pack including the top-of-the-line Rock Band game accessories.
