1 min read

Chris Pine is in negotiations to star in Unstoppable alongside Denzel Washington.

As reported by Variety and MTV, in what would be his first role since Star Trek XI, Pine may be appearing in Unstoppable next summer.Unstoppable, based on a real event, will be directed by Tony Scott, is the story of a veteran engineer and young train conductor who team up to stop a runaway train carrying a payload of toxic chemicals. “If Pelham 1-2-3 will put you on the edge of your seat, this one will put you in CPR in the back of the theater,” claimed Scott.

Denzel Washington will star as the veteran engineer. Pine may be in line to play the young train conductor. “I’m going to shoot a movie in the fall called Unstoppable,” said Washington. “Me and Tony Scott, and Chris Pine’s going to do it with us. I hope I’m not speaking out of line. I think they made a deal with him and I’m supposed to meet him next week.”
