Fuller To Remake The Munsters

1 min read

Former Star Trek Writer/Co-producer Bryan Fuller is working on a remake of the 1960s TV classic The Munsters.

Fuller (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Heroes, Pushing Daisies), who has a development deal with NBC, is said to be working on a pilot for the reboot of the popular creepy sitcom.

The Munsters was the story of the Munster family; the Frankenstein-like Herman (Fred Gwynne), vampire wife Lily (Yvonne De Carlo), vampire grandpa (Al Lewis), werewolf son Eddie (Butch Patrick) and normal niece Marilyn (Beverly Owen/Pat Priest). The show ran from 1964-1966.

According to EW, the new The Munsters is being described as “modern family meets True Blood.”
