A Klingon Christmas Carol Returns To Chicago

1 min read

For fans of both the Klingon race and A Christmas Carol, the Commedia Beauregard will offer a holiday show that should be of interest to them.

The Commedia Beauregard will be performing A Klingon Christmas Carol this holiday season in Chicago, at the Greenhouse Theater Center.

In A Klingon Christmas Carol, “Scrooge has neither honor nor courage in this uproarious twist on the classic holiday tale. Can the visits of three spirits help him to become a true warrior in time to save Tiny Tim from a horrible fate?”

A Klingon Christmas Carol is the “the first full-length play ever to be produced entirely in the Klingon language.” However, for non-Klingon speakers, English subtitles will be provided.

“”Klingons wouldn’t care if Scrooge was not charitable or nice,” said Commedia Beauregard Artistic Director Christopher O. Kidder.”The spirits that visit our Scrooge are trying to help him become honorable and courageous, the two highest virtues of Klingon society.”

A Klingon Christmas Carol will run from November 25 through December 31. More information can be found here.
