Takei On Media Mayhem

1 min read

For fans of George Takei, a new hour-long interview on Media Mayhem is now available on YouTube and can be seen below.

Topics of discussion include Takei’s role on Howard Stern, his decision to come out of the closet, social media, William Shatner, and Allegiance.

Most of the time (second half of the interview) is spent by Takei talking about his family’s experience in an American concentration camp during World War Two. In an interesting revelation, Takei discusses his resentment regarding the imprisonment which surfaced after the war when he was a teen, and how his bitter words on the subject hurt his father.

Takei has since come to terms with his family’s experience during World War II and has turned those experiences into the musical Allegiance.
