New Kirk And Khan Figure

1 min read

For fans of the original series’ Space Seed, a new seven inch scale figure featuring Kirk and Khan will be released early next year.

Star Trek Select Captain Kirk is the second release in the Diamond Select Toys Star Trek Select range, and it will follow the release of The Star Trek Select Mr. Spock, a Spock and Horta figure taken from The Devil in the Dark original series episode.

“It’s an all-new Star Trek action figure line designed especially for collectors, and the newest offering in this series is Captain James T. Kirk! Kirk comes with a part of the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise, and can be displayed in combat with Khan from the classic episode Space Seed. Packaged in display-friendly Select packaging, each seven-inch scale figure comes with a diorama-style accessory and interchangeable parts for a variety of display options.”

The Star Trek Select Captain Kirk will be released in March of 2013 and can be pre-ordered here. It will sell for $21.99.

The Star Trek Select Mr. Spock, set to release in February, can be pre-ordered here.

  1. Hmmm. Interesting timing for this particular scene. Whispered hint about our new movie bad guy?

  2. +1. Man, anyone who’s ever watched Space Seed knows that the big mano-e-mano takes place in Engineering. I guess whoever penned that boilerplate did a little too much LDS back at Berkeley.

  3. You’re an idiot. They’re about to release one with Spock and a Horta. So will a Horta appear in the new movie too??

  4. Yes, he’s an idiot. Nope, idiots on the internet need to be called out. It will prevent them from being idiiots in the future.

  5. Man. TrekToday is kind of a niche site and it’s always been rather civil. I wish guys like John would stop with the aggression and just can the internet tough guy routine. Former Treknologist is just engaging in a little fanboy supposition, though I would have to say that I doubt the next Trek movie will have Khan. (Or, rather, that I hope it doesn’t.) Cumberbatch might be awesome, but there is only one real Khan and that’s MontalbánKhan!
