Shatner’s New Trek Documentary

1 min read

William Shatner is making another Star Trek documentary but this one is not about the original series.

The documentary, titled Wacky Doodle, will document the first two years of production on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

“It’s about how crazy it was; how difficult it was to get it started and do it right,” said Shatner.

  1. Shatner knows nothing about TNG. He never watched it. He doesn’t care. This is another moneymaking scam done by other, real Trek fans. It may be good, but just keep It real.

  2. If you want moneymaking scams, you ‘may not’ have to look any further than Starship Farragut and Star Trek Continues. Especially since Dragongen(an entertainment firm that has foolishly invested in those two useless experimental endeavors)and Farragut Films ‘seem to be’ bending the rules concerning ‘NOT making a profit’ off of someone else’s property. Namely CBS/Paramount.

Unless I am mistaken, monetizing the sets of any Star Trek fan film is a HUGE violation of both that rule and ethics in general.

Assuming if I haven’t misunderstood what information Vic Mignogna revealed at a convention last summer(the ltwo links concerning this are at the bottom), the idea that they are not taking monetary donations is certainly odd, if not highly suspicious.
