Another Trek Costume World Record Attempt

Last autumn, an event in London set the Guinness World’s Record for most people dressed in Star Trek costumes, but this summer’s Las Vegas Official Star Trek Convention seeks to reclaim the title.
The Vegas event had previously held the record, with 1040 fans dressed in Trek costumes, but the London event topped that by twenty-three.
According to a new press release, “The challenge has been made, and you are invited to help us regain the championship for Vegas. Our attempt to break the record will occur on Saturday, August 10 of the 2013 Las Vegas Convention. Bring your costumes, bring your friends, let’s get the award back to Vegas! We have our work cut out for us because
last year we attempted to break our own record (London hadn’t happened it yet) and we fell a bit short…. so please help and come in costume!”
