IDW Publishing October Trek Comics

There are four different Star Trek comics being released by IDW Publishing in October.

The comics include: Star Trek: Khan #1, Star Trek #26, Star Trek: The Star Date Collection, Vol. 1: The Early Voyages, and Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation: The Complete Series.

Star Trek: Khan #1, written by Mike Johnson, with art by Claudia Balboni, and cover by Paul Shipper, is a new six-part mini-series featuring Khan Noonien Singh. “Witness the shocking origin of Khan Noonien Singh, from his earliest years through his rise to power during the epic Eugenics Wars! Behold the events that led to his escape from Earth aboard the Botany Bay! Learn the truth behind his re-awakening by Admiral Marcus and Section 31!”

Thirty-two pages in length, Star Trek: Khan #1 will sell for $3.99.

Star Trek #26, written by Mike Johnson, with art and cover by Erfan Fajar is the story of “conflict between the Klingon and Romulan Empires erupt[ing], with Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise trapped in the middle!”

Thirty-two pages in length, Star Trek #26 will sell for $3.99.

Star Trek: The Star Date Collection, Vol. 1: The Early Voyages is written by John Byrne, Ian Edginton, Dan Abnett, James Patrick, Scott and David Tipton, with art by John Byrne, Patrick Zircher, Greg Adams, and Josep Maria Beroy.

In this collection, “the many iterations of Trek [are collected] in order… by stardate! Star Trek: The Star Date Collection, Vol. 1: The Early Voyages “featur[es] special commentary and creator interviews; Volume 1 starts at the beginning to reveal the motives, machinations and decisions that shaped the intrepid crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise.”

Star Trek: The Star Date Collection, Vol. 1: The Early Voyages, “collects Star Trek: Crew issues #1-5 and Star Trek: Early Voyages issues #1-7,” in one two-hundred-and-eighty-eight page issue, which will sell for $49.99.

Finally, Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation: The Complete Series tells the story of “Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the USS Enterprise,” who “have joined forces with the Doctor and his companions to combat an unholy alliance between the Federation’s most terrifying enemy and one of the Doctor’s greatest antagonists. But once the Cybermen turn on their Borg allies, the Doctor and Picard find themselves at odds over how to proceed against the threat, with the fate of the universe hanging in the balance!”

Written by Scott Tipton, David Tipton, and Tony Lee; with art by J.K. Woodward, The Sharp Bros., and Gordon Purcell, and with a cover by The Sharp Bros., Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation: The Complete Series is two hundred pages in length, and will sell for $34.99.
