The People’s Choice Awards nominees have been announced and Star Trek is included in the list of nominees.
The People’s Choice Awards celebrates fan favorites in movies, music and television.
Star Trek into Darkness was nominated for Favorite Movie. Others nominated for the category include Despicable Me 2, Fast & Furious 6, Iron Man 3, and Monsters University.
Chris Pine & Zachary Quinto (Star Trek into Darkness) are amongst the contenders for Favorite Movie Duo. Others nominated for Favorite Movie Duo include: Jennifer Aniston & Jason Sudeikis (We’re the Millers), Robert Downey Jr. & Gwyneth Paltrow (Iron Man 3), Sandra Bullock & George Clooney (Gravity), and Sandra Bullock & Melissa McCarthy (The Heat).
For Favorite Action Movie, Star Trek into Darkness is one of the five nominees. Other movies nominated include Fast & Furious 6, Iron Man 3, The Wolverine, and World War Z.
Finally, a Trek guest star, Chris Hemsworth (George Kirk), has been nominated for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actor.
