Fans of the last two Star Trek movies are seeing some of the actors from the movies beginning to appear at various conventions.

From now through the end of the year, here is a listing of the conventions where fans can find the actors.

Karl Urban, Bones, has a busy convention schedule. This month, he can be found at Megacon, which takes place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from March 21-23.

Urban will also be at Emerald City Comicon, which takes place March 28-30 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington. Also in attendance at this convention will be Star Trek 2009‘s Rachel Nichols (Gaila).

On April 18-20, fans can see Urban at Fan Expo Vancouver, to be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Urban will then move on to the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo, which takes place Apr. 24-27 at Stampede Park, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Urban will finish out his Canadian conventions with the Ottawa Comiccon, which takes place May 9-11 at the EY Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

In the States, Urban will appear at the Motor City Comic Con, to be held May 16-18, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. This will be followed by the Philadelphia Comic Con, to be held June 19-22, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Urban will be there through the 21st, then it’s up to Boston and the Hynes Center for The Official Star Trek Convention, where he will appear the next day.

Guest star Bruce Greenwood will be seen at five The Official Star Trek Conventions this year, beginning with the one to be held in Cherry Hill, New Jersey at the Crowne Plaza Cherry Hill from April 25-27.

That will be followed by the one in Chicago at the Westin O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois (June 6-8) and the Boston Hynes Center convention (June 21-22), before heading out to the West Coast for the July 31-Aug 3 Las Vegas Convention held at the Rio Suites Hotel, and the San Francisco convention held at the Hyatt Regency from Dec 12-14.

Alice Eve will be joining Away Mission, which takes place April 11-13 at the Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore in Tampa, Florida.

Finally, Deep Roy (Keenser) will be appearing at the Florida Supercon to be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center from July 3-6.

  1. “Keenser”? That useless thing has a name??
I’ve always referred to it as Star Trek’s Jar-Jar. Sometimes I’m convinced this is what “J.J.” actually stands for.
    (No offense to the actor)

  2. Except Keenser is 99% less annoying. While he is a completely pointless and improbable character, I actually like him 🙂

  3. I like him, too. He isn’t even pointless or improbable! He demonstrates the diversity of a post-first-contact world – he’s an alien who is an engineer and a Starfleet officer, he perches in high places because he has to work in an environment that is designed for (tall) human physiology and he probably doesn’t like spending his life at crotch level, he doesn’t talk much because English isn’t his first language, and he goes everywhere with Scotty because he’s probably the only person he’s gotten to know. Scotty himself in XI was the Jar-Jar of the movie.

  4. Clifton Collins Jr. (Ayel in “Star Trek” 2009) will be at the Chiller Theatre convention in Parsippany, NJ from April 25-27.

  5. I enjoyed the last two Star Trek movies very well and I wish all these actors the best at the conventions.

  6. No, he’s just as pointless. In fact I’d dare say Jar Jar is more important to Star Wars than Keenser is to JJ-Trek. After all, it was Jar Jar who gave the winning vote in the Galactic Senate that gave Palpatine the power to ultimately become Emperor.
