Benedict Cumberbatch is set to voice Khan, but not Star Trek‘s Khan.

The actor has taken on a role in Warner Bros. The Jungle Book.

Cumberbatch will be voicing the malevolent tiger Shere Khan in this adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s story, which will be directed by Andy Serkis.

The script for The Jungle Book was written by Callie Kloves, and the movie will be produced by her father Steve Kloves.

This is not the only Jungle Book adaptation out there; Disney is also producing a version of the story.

The Jungle Book will probably be released in 2016.
