In December, the last performance of A Klingon Christmas Carol will take place in Chicago.

This year’s performance will take place December 4-21 at the Athenaeum Theater in Chicago.

A Klingon Christmas Carol is the first play ever to performed entirely in the Klingon language (with “English Supertitles and a narrative analysis from the Vulcan Institute of Cultural Anthropology”). The original creator of the language, Mark Okrand, added new words specifically for the production.

Originally conceived as a one-time fundraiser, A Klingon Christmas Carol has been a Chicago event for the last five years.

In A Klingon Christmas Carol, “Scrooge has no honor, nor any courage. Can three ghosts help him to become the true warrior he ought to be in time to save Tiny Tim from a horrible fate?”
