Three Star Trek comics from IDW Publishing will be released in February 2015.
The comics include Star Trek/Planet of the Apes #3, Star Trek Gold Key Archives, Vol. 3 and Star Trek #42 — Five-Year Mission: Behemoth.
Star Trek/Planet of the Apes #3 is the third of five installments of the Trek/Planet of the Apes crossover series. Written by Scott and David Tipton, with art and cover by Rachael Stott; in this issue, “Taylor has escaped the Planet of the Apes, and Captain Kirk must bring him back. Meanwhile, the Klingon/Gorilla alliance makes its move against Dr. Zaius and Ape City.”
Thirty-two pages in length, Star Trek/Planet of the Apes #3 will sell for $3.99 and there will be a subscription variant cover from Kevin Wada.
Star Trek Gold Key Archives, Vol. 3 features issues #13-18 of the first comic book adventures of the USS Enterprise and her crew. Stories in this issue include Dark Traveler, The Enterprise Mutiny, The Hijacked Planet, and more.
Written by Len Wein with art by Alberto Giolitti, and a cover by Michael Stribling, the one-hundred-and-sixty page issue will sell for $29.99.
Star Trek #42 — Five-Year Mission: Behemoth is the second part of a two-part series written by Mike Johnson, and featuring art and a cover by Cat Staggs. In this issue, “the Enterprise crew faces an alien threat unlike any they have encountered before…in any timeline. It’s a race against time to save the ship…or be stranded in uncharted space.”
Overseen by Roberto Orci, the thirty-two page issue will sell for $3.99. Look for a subscription variant photo cover.
