New Trek Diamond Select Toys
1 min readFor fans of Diamond Select Toys‘ Star Trek range of electronic starship models, several new ships will be coming soon.
The ships could be seen at the Toy Fair last weekend.
The two ships include a re-issue of the Enterprise NX-01, which first debuted back in 2002, and a new original series Romulan Bird of Prey.
The Enterprise NX-01 has had “a much needed upgrade to the paint job, with a more subtle finish on the aztecing, and some of the previously missing details now filled in.”
In addition to their electronic ships, Diamond Select Toys also had some props to show fans, including the first ever The Next Generation phaser, and phasers from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock including a variant phaser. The standard phaser from The Search for Spock is due out next month.

Ironically, I got the original NX-01 from 2002 on my coffee table right now. The aztecing was heavy-handed, but it was otherwise a nicely detailed toy replica…
TNG Dustbuster phaser please
Well, if it isn’t the Akiraprise.
…glad they toned-down the aztecing! LOL! =P
now, show us the phasers, dammit!! =(
The NX-01 with the secondary hull would be nice.
It’s good news the NX-01 is reissued with an improved paintjob. The original was my first big model ship. I’d *love* if they reissued the ISS Enterprise NX-01!
Funny, how it looks here is how it looked on their Prototype model all the way back then, but with a bit more detail
