Shatner Starts New Website

CaliforniaDrought-042215

Once again, the California drought is on William Shatner‘s mind and he has opened a new website to discuss the matter.

The new website is ShatnersWater.org.

“So with today being Earth Day,” said Shatner via Twitter, “I’ve opened up http://ShatnersWater.org to start a discussion of the drought issue and technologies to solve it.”

One of the topics of discussion includes that which was proposed by Shatner recently, a pipeline to California from areas which get a surplus of rain. “There are a lot of areas that get excessive rains. Let’s figure a way to use existing and new pipelines to get that water to areas that need it,” he said.

Other topics so far include: the banning of fracking, refining icebergs from the Arctic Circle, desalination technologies, and newer technologies.

  1. Urghh. Not a simple issue. I am glad however that he’s looking at solutions rather than laying blame or pointing out thatthe desert is not the ideal place for agriculture.

  2. The most effective technology to solve this problem: use a moving van to stop living in a desert.

  3. Yeah, wouldn’t want anybody to deal with the actual problem in an effective way.

  4. I personally favor the Luthor solution. Nuke the fault and drop half the state in the ocean. Give Mr. Shatner and whatever decent human beings in the area some advance notice, then sit back and enjoy the view from a beachfront condo in Otisburg.

  5. As long as I get to be ruler of Australia I don’t care what they do.
