Evaluation Ordered For Lien

1 min read

A mental evaluation has been ordered for Star Trek: Voyager‘s Jennifer Lien.

Last month, the former actress was arrested indecent exposure. It was not her first run in with the law this year; back in April she allegedly rammed a police cruiser.

Lien is charged in the two cases with evading arrest, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault, and indecent exposure.

The mental evaluation will “determine her competency,” according to Roane County Public Defender Kim Nelson, whose office is defending Lien.

The evaluation will take place at Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute in Chattanooga, which bills itself as a place that provides “quality psychiatric services to individuals with a severe and persistent mental illness.”

  1. Me too. Hopefully, she can be evaluated enough to have her be committed to getting mental health treatments at a hospital and not in a prision

  2. So sorry to hear this as I liked her character and the actress herself very much. I will pray for her.

  3. She seemed to start going off the deep end shortly after she left Voyager. I always wondered if it was the pressures of Hollywood life that got to her or if it was drugs or something. One way or another, I feel bad to see such a talented person throw their life away.

  4. I hope that she gets better. It is a shame that her life has taken this direction. I hope she realizes that us fans hope for her recovery.

  5. Really? Do you truly believe this is an appropriate response to another’s suffering? You should be ashamed of yourself!

  6. I dont think its a psychiatric issue, she looks like its endocrine….needs a good doctor. Wish i could help her.
