Fans of the original series and The Next Generation who have not yet purchased either series on Blu-ray will have another chance to do so this summer.
CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution have announced the release of Star Trek: The Next Generation The Complete Series and Star Trek: The Original Series: The Complete Series for this June.
The original series collection will feature twenty discs as well as bonus features, and it will sell for $99.99.
The Next Generation set will be available in both Blu-ray and DVD. The Blu-ray edition will have forty-one discs, and the DVD set will have forty-eight. Both sets will include bonus material.
The Next Generation Blu-ray set will cost $208.99, and the DVD set will cost F$144.99.
Note that there are no features that have not been on previous sets. Even so, these are good collections reasonably priced for those who have not yet purchased either the original series or The Next Generation DVDs/Blu-rays.
