Star Trek: Discovery Is Definitely A Prequel

Star Trek: Discovery Supervising Producer Ted Sullivan reassured fans this weekend that the show would not be a reboot or reimagining of the original series.
“It’s a genuine prequel to TOS,” he said via his Twitter account. “Very exciting for a fan like me.”
Sullivan also promised fans more news on the series soon. “Want 2 thank U #StarTrek fans,” he said, also via Twitter. “Been contacted by so many. I know it’s been quiet on @startrekcbs front, but that’ll change soon. #excited.”
CBS‘ annual Upfront presentation to affiliates and advertisers will take place this week and perhaps some news on the new series will come from that presentation.
