The one hundredth ship from the Star Trek Official Starships Collection has been announced and it is the USS Horizon.
The USS Horizon was referred to in the original series episode A Piece of the Action. In that episode, reference was made to the fact that the USS Horizon had gone to Sigma Iotia II in the twenty-second century and that someone from the ship had left behind a book, Chicago Mobs of the Twenties. The Sigma Iotia II residents had then modeled their society after the Chicago mobs, using the book as a guide.
