Star Trek: Discovery Nominated For Two Awards

The Visual Effects Society (VES) has announced their nominations and Star Trek: Discovery is up for two awards.

Star Trek: Discovery; The Vulcan Hello was nominated for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Episode. Its competition in the category includes Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Orientation, Game of Thrones: Beyond the Wall, Legion: Chapter 1, and Stranger Things 2: The Gate.

Discovery was also nominated in the Outstanding Compositing in a Photoreal Episode. The competitors in this category include: Game of Thrones: Beyond the Wall, and Frozen Lake, Game of Thrones: Eastwatch, and Game of Thrones: The Spoils of War, and Loot Train Attack.

The 16th Annual VES Awards will take place Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
