Jones Joins FX Comedy

Star Trek: Discovery‘s Doug Jones (Saru) has joined the cast of FX‘s What We Do in the Shadows.
Jones joins Beanie Feldstein, Jake McDorman, and Mark Proksch in the half-hour comedy pilot, which is a reboot of the 2014 movie version of What We Do in the Shadows, a “vampire mockumentary.”
“Well, I guess the cat’s out of that bag,” said Jones, via his Twitter account. He went on to reassure fans afraid that this casting news would mean the end of Saru on Discovery. “Guest starring on this pilot,” he said. “Never fear.”
“Not leaving Disco,” he told another concerned fan.
But “all four will potentially recur on the show should it get ordered to series,” said Variety.
