Pegg: Tarantino’s Trek Might Not Be R-Rated

1 min read

During an interview at the Rakuten TV Empire Awards held in London yesterday, Star Trek Beyond‘s Simon Pegg spoke about Star Trek 4 and whether it would be “R-rated” or not.

“I don’t think he’s written an R-rated Star Trek script,” said Pegg. “I think what happened is, he went to J.J. [Abrams] with an idea that he’s had for a while. I remember he told us about it a long time ago. I think he told me and Edgar [Wright] about it a long time ago. But he just put it to J.J. and I think J.J.’s kind of like considering putting it into a writing room. We got an email saying ‘Guess what? Guess who came into the office the other day?’ So I don’t know much about it other than the fact that it’s sort of in the mix, so we’ll see.”

Pegg’s comments on Star Trek 4 begin at the 1:07 minute mark in the video below.
