Discovery Begins Shooting Today

1 min read

Season Two of Star Trek: Discovery starts filming today in Toronto, and some of the actors shared the news.

James Frain and Mary Wiseman bemoaned the weather in chilly Canada. “Am leaving 91 degrees in LA to go to a freezing ice storm in Toronto,” said Frain. “Why? To don the pointy ears my friends—Sarek rises.”

“New York was 78 degrees today,” said Wiseman. “Oh dope! There’s a literal ice storm in Toronto.” She shared a photo from a window showing snow in Toronto.

The most amusing tweet came from Doug Jones. “Welp…so begins season 2 filming tomorrow,” he said in a tweet yesterday. He included a funny short video, seen below, which showed him “getting ready” to play Saru again.
