The Official Star Trek Las Vegas Convention

Now that San Diego Comic-Con is finished, attention turns to the other big Trek convention – The Official Star Trek Las Vegas Convention.

Taking place at The Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas from August 1-5, Star Trek Las Vegas will feature plenty of Trek guests and events.

The guests include: William Shatner, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Walter Koenig, Brent Spiner, Michael Welch (Star Trek: Insurrection), Chase Masterson, Max Grodenchik, Aron Eisenberg, Ira Steven Behr, David Zappone, Kate Mulgrew, Jeri Ryan, Jason Isaacs, Rainn Wilson, and more!

There will be “panels, presentations, guests, and a costume and prop exhibition all spotlighting” Star Trek: Discovery.

Deep Space Nine fans can enjoy a screening of Far Beyond the Stars, and a panel after the showing. There will also be a look at the forthcoming documentary What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

There will also be other Trek-themed events, including evening parties, a Star Trek Gala Celebration with the Nevada Pops Orchestra featuring Star Trek: Concert Live. Guest conductors will include Michael Giacchino, Jeff Russo, and Dennis McCarthy.
