1 min read

Star Trek novelist David Mack has been tapped to be a consultant on two Star Trek animated series.

He will be working on the already-announced Star Trek: Lower Decks, as well as a future animated series whose details are being kept under wraps.

“I am excited to be working as a consultant on two new Star Trek animated television series,” said Mack; “Star Trek: Lower Decks, and another series whose details remain classified.

“And that’s essentially all I can say about that. #DreamJob”

Mack has had experience with televised Star Trek as well as having written around three dozen Star Trek books. He co-wrote two episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine; the first being Starship Down (with John J. Ordover) and It’s Only a Paper Moon (with Ordover and Ronald D. Moore).

Well-known to readers of Star Trek books, Mack has also worked on comic-book mini-series and has written dialog for various Star Trek games.

Mack has been nominated for four Scribe Awards; for The Sorrows of Empire, The Persistence of Memory, Disavowed, and Long Shot.

Congratulations!
