Star Trek‘s George Takei will guest star on an episode of Hawaii Five-0.

Takei will play the uncle of Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) in the episode. The uncle will “provide the team with information that helps them win the case.”

  1. I’m shocked this article doesn’t mention that this is George Takei’s second time guest starring on “Hawaii Five-0.” He appears in the original series 1975 episode “Death’s Name Is Sam” as a not-nice guy, Nathaniel Blake, and was blown up in a helicopter by a surface-to-air missile at the end.

I remembered this without even looking it up on IMDB, but it’s there.

  2. Other than Star Trek I haven’t seen a lot of George Takei’s work. A
friend I work with at DISH loves him though, so I’ll definitely check out his
    episode of Hawaii
Five-0. My Hopper is set to auto-record it using Primetime Anytime, so I’ll be
able to watch the show even if I forget about Takei’s December episode. I might
check out the original episode Takei was in, too, just to see how it compares
    to this new one.
