IDW Publishing Trek Comics For April 2015
1 min readThe Star Trek comics due out from IDW Publishing for April 2015 have been announced.
Two titles will be released in April; Star Trek #44 – Five Year Mission, and Star Trek/Planet of the Apes #5.
First up is Star Trek #44 – Five Year Mission with the Eurydice Part 2 story. In this issue, written by Mike Johnson and overseen by Roberto Orci, the Abrams’ Enterprise crew “[will] find themselves in the clutches of the Dark Market Syndicate deep in the Delta Quadrant.”
Featuring art by Tony Shasteen, and a cover by Joe Corroney, the thirty-two page issue will cost $3.99, and will also feature a subscription variant photo cover.
The second Trek comic out in April will be Star Trek/Planet of the Apes #5. This will be the final issue featuring the Star Trek/Planet of the Apes crossover story. Written by Scott and David Tipton, with art and cover by Rachael Stott, Star Trek/Planet of the Apes #5 “follows Kirk and the Enterprise crew as they try to wrest control of the Gorilla army from the Klingons.”
Thirty-two pages in length, the issue will cost $3.99 and will include an essay by comedian/fan Dana Gould. A subscription variant will feature a J.K. Woodward cover.
“…overseen by Roberto Orci,” What a JOKE! …the only thing I hate more than nu-trek? nu-trek comics. GAGH!! nu-trek SUCKS! =P
