Nichols Health Update
1 min readNichelle Nichols is recovering after suffering a mild stroke Wednesday night.
The actress is back to posting on her Facebook page.
According to this morning’s update, “The MRI showed that Nichelle Nichols had a minor stroke. She will start therapy this morning to evaluate how much damage was done, and try to determine her chances for a full or partial recovery. The therapists will test her hand at writing and legs to see if she can stand and walk on her own. Last night Nichelle remained alert, and cheerful.
“When we told her about the love and support coming in from around the world she smiled and asked to see the posts on her Facebook.
“Thank you again for all of your kind words. Keep them coming because Nichelle is reading them.”
Her Facebook readers are encouraged to “feel free to post your pictures with Nichelle and a story about when you met her.”
In response to a poster on her Facebook page, Nichols said, “Thank you, sweetheart. I’m feeling much better.”
Kang is very glad to hear that she is doing well.
I don’t do Facebook, but I’m glad she’s feeling better. Best wishes for a fast and complete recovery!
Great news. It would be sad if two of the big seven passed in the same year!
Two of the big nine was bad enough.

I would cancel all of her appearances for the rest of this year; she needs to recover fully from this, not just do a few weeks of recovery and then be back on the road at conventions.
