The new Star Trek television series due to air in January has a name; Star Trek: Discovery and the show will be set in the prime timeline.
The name and some details were announced at the San Diego Comic-Con today. Star Trek: Discovery‘s opening episode will be directed and executive produced by David Semel.
The ship to be featured in the series is the USS NCC-1031, which can be seen in the video below.
