Walking Dead Star Lands Trek Role

Sonequa Martin-Green, best-known as Sasha Williams on The Walking Dead, will be joining Star Trek: Discovery this spring.
She is the seventh actor cast on the show; the others include Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, Chris Obi, Shazad Latif, and Mary Chieffo.
Martin-Green will take on the lead role in the new Trek series and will be Lieutenant Commander Rainsford.
The actress, in addition to her role on The Walking Dead, has also been seen in The Good Wife and Once Upon a Time.
