Pine To Receive Award

Performance as Kirk leads to honor for actor. On April 2nd, Chris Pine will receive an award from ShoWest.

As reported by MSNBC, Pine will be given the ShoWest Male Star of Tomorrow award at the ShoWest exhibition in Los Vegas on April 2nd. ShoWest, a trade and convention show for the cinema exhibition and distribution community, runs from March 30 through April 2nd.

The ShoWest Star of Tomorrow award honors actors and actresses on the rise. Pine joins past recipients Shia LeBeouf, Hayden Christensen, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, and Johnny Depp.

“Pine’s impressive skills on the screen and stage will be sure to be showcased, with his performance as Captain Kirk, in the much anticipated release of ‘Star Trek,’ said Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the ShoWest exhibition.
